Improving the Lives of Children: Refugee Foster Care and Bridging the Gap

Catholic Community Services of Utah aims to practice the gospel values of love, compassion, and hope through service, support, and collaboration.

We do so through a variety of programs. Some are tailored to support those forced to flee their countries and seek refuge in the United States. Others serve those impacted by homelessness, as well as food and income insecurity.

Two of CCS' programs are designed specifically to improve the lives of children— Refugee Foster Care and Bridging the Gap.

Through Refugee Foster Care, unaccompanied refugee minors are placed in loving and licensed foster homes where they are provided with the tools they need to gain self-sufficiency.

Bridging the Gap, a mobile food pantry, serves our community's children by taking food to low-income schools in Weber and Ogden school districts every Friday to keep students full through the weekends.
