Salt Lake City is one of nineteen cities across the United States that will be receiving Afghan refugees in the coming weeks following the Taliban takeover.
As one of two refugee resettlement agencies in Salt Lake City, Catholic Community Services is seeking the support of community members in preparation for their arrival.
“We are standing really ready to receive and refugee that is allowed to come our way,” Aden Batar, Director of Migration and Refugee Services told Deseret News. “We have the capacity. We have the staff. We have the community.”
Here’s how you can partner with Catholic Community Services in preparation for the arrival of Afghan SIVs (Special Immigrant Visas).
