Local Restaurant Donates Meal to Hundreds of Homeless Utahns

SALT LAKE CITY, UT (December 15, 2011) – For the second year in a row, staff and volunteers from The Pie Pizzeria will take over the kitchen at Catholic Community Services’ (CCS) St. Vincent de Paul Dining Hall and serve lunch to hungry patrons.

“We are excited to partner with Catholic Community Services & Sysco Foods again this year and have the opportunity to bring some holiday cheer to struggling families in our community,” Matthew Palmer, The Pie, said.  “Serving up to 1, 000 slices of pizza in 90 minutes will be a challenge but with support from our two downtown locations and our mobile kitchen, we feel that we are up to the challenge. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to our local community.”
